The band Timbiriche offered a memorable concert in front of 10 thousand people at the National Auditorium in Mexico City, in the final stretch of their “Juntos” tour, which will conclude on March 14 in Toluca, State of Mexico.
After showing the video of “El ciclo” and an introduction of “Está despierto” with the “Cocorito” botarga on stage, the yellow and blue band started their presentation with the song “Timbiriche” and then with the song that celebrates the absence of the parents in Mariana’s house (“Y la fiesta comenzó”).
Many of them arrived at the “show” after having taken out of the closet those old Timbiriche jackets, while others acquired some new ones, as well as T-shirts or caps at the street stands outside the National Auditorium.
And so came the boogie medley with hits such as “Disco ruido”, “Por tu amor”, “Rock del manicomio” and “Payasos”, while Celina del Villar (Benny’s wife), Andrea Legarreta (Erik’s wife) and their daughters chanted excitedly from the seats in the preferential area.

It was a breeding ground for numerous Latin American show business figures, including successful singers such as Paulina Rubio, Thalía and Edith Márquez, as well as actors, composers and presenters.
Parallel to their musical career, the group also starred in a documentary directed by Carlos Marcovich entitled La Misma Piedra which followed the group’s step-by-step preparation for tours, concerts and behind-the-scenes footage of their 25th anniversary. In 2007, the Televisa network also produced a reality show whose objective was to integrate a new line-up of the group, which was a resounding failure.
